New Threebie Freebie Kit

Three talented designers at Stuff to Scrap have collaborated to bring you a wonderful freebie kit.

As is usually the case, they are going to offer the kit in bits and pieces throughout this entire week, so you'll want to check their blogs each week. Click here to be taken to Scrappy Kat's blog and she'll direct you to the other blogs to complete this collection.

Here is a layout I made with the kit:

Boys Club

Well, in the midst of all the holiday/Christmas/winter kits that are being offered this time of year, The Scrappy Kat and Jewel of Mad Genius Designs have collaborated to offer a unique kit called Boy's Club. I just love these colors! Take a look:

And just to show the versatility of this kit, I made a "girly" layout with Kat's portion of the kit.

This is the layout I created for the Template Challenge at DSDI last month.

This kit is being offered for free at the designer's blogs this week only. Then you can get it at their stores. Click here to be taken to The Scrappy Kat's blog to begin your download. She'll direct you to Mad Genius Design's blog to grab her part of the kit too.

Stay tuned later in the week for a freebie from me too!

Designer Opportunity

One of my two favorite digiscrap forums is looking for a designer to add to their store. Digiscraps Drive In is a fun place to hang out, the folks there are so very warm and friendly. They also have a lot of fun challenges and games. I am not a designer, and really don't have a desire to be one, but perhaps you may know of someone who may be interested in this. Check out the info on the flyer:

Holiday Sale

Stuff to Scrap is having a huge sale on all of their Seasonal/Holiday items. The flyer is linked and has all the info. Sale starts today!

As a gift for you, I made a quickpage with this kit. I used parts from both of the designers. Just click on the preview below to be taken to 4shared to download. I'd appreciate feedback if you feel so inclined.

Lots to tell you about

There are lots of things going on in my little digi-scrap world at Stuff to Scrap. So in no particular order, let me share a few things with you.

MandaK of Nibbles Skribbles has decided to give her CT members a title. We called The Skribblers. Isn't that cute? I love it! She has a new kit in the store today.

Merry Christmoose is obviously a traditional Christmas kit, but with some whimsical, comical elements involved. I didn't use them in my layouts (yet), but I just love the little moose characters. So cute! Here is a layout I made with this kit:

Awww, my children when they were little. I can't seem to get them together for Christmas photos anymore. *sniff*

Click here to be taken to Nibbles Skribbles store at Stuff to Scrap. Be sure to look for the cardstock add on as well. Both are on sale for 25% off. And check Manda's blog this week too. I think she's got a gift planned for you also.

But wait, there's more...

The Scrappy Kat has teamed up with SAHM Scrapper for a unique collab kit called Family Fun Night. This kit is so awesome as some of the background papers actually look like the board games and lots of the elements look like the game pieces. This is a perfect kit for scrapping those photos of playing games/cards/etc. But this kit is more versatile than that, as you can see from my contribution.

When my son was a senior in high school, he played the lead role of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. That musical centers around a "floating craps game". So I used this kit to scrap the memory of him singing Luck Be a Lady Tonight. The designers are offering this kit as a freebie on their blog this week. Click here to be taken to The Scrappy Kat's blog to start downloading her portion. She'll have a link to SAHM Scrapper's blog to get the rest of this fab kit.

And that's not all...

There's a speed scrap at Stuff to Scrap tonight! I have a Craft Club meeting tonight, so I won't be able to attend, but here's the info:

And here's the participation prize:

Click here to go to the speed scrap forum if you want to join in. Speed scraps are so much fun. I never know just exactly what I'm going to end up with when I start out. Some of my favorite layouts have been the result of speed scraps. I hope you can attend.

My 200th Post!

Wow, whoda thunk it?

I wanted to share with you some layouts I made using the latest templates by Nibbles Skribbles. I love working with templates. They are very useful in placement of the photos, papers and elements, but they can be altered to suit your needs.

Here is a layout I made today with Manda's Template Set #6:

That's my ugly mug. LOL! The kit I used is Summer Love by Just So Scrappy.

All of the paper placements, photo placement and the placement of the flowers was on the template.

Seriously, using templates makes scrapping so much easier and quicker too. Click on the link above to be taken to Nibbles Skribbles store at STS to look over her template collection. I'm sure you'll find something you'll like!

More fun at Stuff to Scrap to celebrate Digital Scrapbook Day all month long. Click on image to be taken to the store for some bargains.

Sunday, November 8, 2009

What a great day!

Yesterday was the (inter)National Digital Scrapbooking Day and the gang at Stuff to Scrap really had a good time with it. There was something going on nearly every hour! I can't believe I "wasted" a wonderfully sunny and warm day and spent it indoors scrapping. LOL.

Here are some of the layouts I created for the challenges. I will not, however, be sharing the rather unflattering layout I made for the dare I asked for in the Truth or Dare game held in the chat room last night. LOL. I'll share with you some of the speed scrap/Challenge a Day layouts I've done this week too.

For the November 4th Challenge a Day I made this layout of my son when he was in his "punk" phase. The challenge on this day was to use photomasks. I used a free photomask by Bouille. The kit I used was the Wicked collab between Scrappy Kat, SealScraps and FunkyTime Designs:

For the November 5th Challenge a Day, we were to make a layout with a recipe. So I made a recipe card using the kit Golden Sunshine by Summer Driggs:

For the November 5 Speed Scrap I made this layout using a combination of things created by Linda Walton of Bon Scrapatit, mostly from the kit Fresh as a Daisy.

For the first speed scrap yesterday, I made this layout using the free kit we were given for the speed scrap by Scrappy Kat called Falling for Fall Add On (the participation prize was the whole kit):

The second speed scrap I made this layout using a yet to be released kit by Nibbles Skribbles called On the Ice. Stay tuned for this one later as I've got more layouts made with this kit:

And one of the many games we played yesterday was BINGO. We made our own cards too. I used Nibbles Skribbles kit Picking Perfect Pumpkins:

Today promises to be another warm, sunny day and I have a boatload of outdoor chores to get to today after church, so no more digiscrapping for me today. Hope you'll hop over to Stuff to Scrap and join in the fun. It continues all month long!

So much going on tomorrow!

You won't believe all the fabulous stuff going on over at Stuff To Scrap in celebration of {Inter} National Digi-Scrap Day. We aren't just celebrating this Saturday, we are having a party all month long!

We have already kicked off the festivities with a sale in the store and with our challenge a day, but starting Saturday we are going to kick things up a notch. All day Saturday there will be challenges and activities going on in the forum and in our chat room. The best part is that there are prizes to win and everyone will receive participation prizes.

Here is the chat room schedule for Saturday.

Saturday & Sunday the entire STS store will be on sale. Click the ad below to head over to the store.

The first big event of the day over in the chat room is a Speed Scrap hosted by The Scrappy Kat.

Here is the participation prize you will receive for attending.

The second Speed Scrap of the day is being hosted by Scrap N Pieces.

Here is the participation prize for that SS.

At 4 pm MST you can head over to the chat for a hybrid challenge, head over now to find out what supplies you will need.

Both days this weekend Janice from JW-DigiScraps will be hosting progressive challenges, she promises they will truly be challenging and they sound super fun!

In the chat room & forum on Sunday there will be another Speed Scrap, hosted by Mad Genius Designs and following the Speed Scrap there will be a Scavenger Hunt taking place from the chat room as well.

If you like prizes, you will want to participate in our Challenge A Day. Each day a host will post a new challenge, they will announce the deadline for getting your assignments posted to the thread and the gallery (if required). All participants in the challenge a day (as long as you complete at least 3 challenges) will get a Participation Prize at the end of the month!

And don't forget that we are giving away a little piece of Scrap Yourself Silly on the STS Blog each day in November.
