Rainy Days and Rainbows

MandaK of NibblesSkribbles and Janice of JWDigiscraps have collaborated their incredible talent to create a new freebie kit called Rainy Days and Rainbows. Bridal Shower

Does anyone remember DigiTreats? She offered up fabulous freebies and fun kits. She quit designing/blogging earlier this year to spend more time with her young family. While I certainly understand that, I do miss her freebies.

Awhile ago, she created a kit called Apples and Aprons and offered a challenge to others to create recipe cards with them. Those cards were offered as .jpeg files for free on her blog. I snagged them up, thinking I'd use them someday. Well that day has come. My nephew is marrying one of my daughter's best friends in a few weeks. We are so excited for them! I decided to use those cards and put some family favorite recipes on them for her. After I did that, I sent them off to CVS to be printed as 4x6 photographs. I bought a cute recipe file box for her to put them in. Here is a sample of what I did:

Playing Catch Up!

Well, the past 4 days at work have kicked me in the behind. I'm supposed to work 10 hr days, but I put in at least 2 hrs OT each day. If I had known I'd be working these 12 hr shifts again, I would have stayed working the floor in the hospital. (Not really!)

So I've been neglecting my CT duties. I thought I'd just do one big update with this post.

Well, as promised, I have another layout with this kit. The photo is quite, well, gross! And it has not been edited. Yes, this is a photo of my son with a worm in his mouth. I think the journaling tells the story well. He has outgrown his "wormbreath" days, but among his friends from elementary school, the he is still called Wormbreath. Boys!

New Freebie Kits!!!!

Wow, I slept in till 8:30 this morning. That never happens. I'm usually up between 6-6:30, I don't even set my alarm clock anymore. Good thing I don't have to work today. I guess that tells you all how very overwhelmed/exhausted I've been lately.

Well, on to the freebies! The Stuff to Scrap designers have been very busy. First I want to highlight "my" first designer (the first to call me to her CT!) The Scrappy Kat. She has teamed up with another member of her CT, Ashlee of SealScraps, to create an absolutely fun kit called Country Carnival.

This is the perfect kit to scrap any sort of fair or amusement park photos. I had to dig deep into my photo stash to find photos because I usually forget to take my camera when we go to the amusement parks! Here is what I created with this kit:

Ack! Overwhelmed!

Yikes, I'm so overwhelmed right now. The Scrappy Kat has a new collab with SealScraps out today and Nibbles Skribbles has a new collab with Flower Scraps out today and I haven't posted a thing about them. Check out their blogs to grab what they've created. I'll be back later to share them and to show what I've created with their gifts. Right now, I'm taking a tylenol and heading to a nappy-poo. I just had minor dental surgery after working a horrendously busy weekend and being on call the last 48 hrs. I gotta take some time to recover. LOL
